HISTORY

 Foundation

Founded in 1908, HBS celebrates 100 years of existence. The world's first MBA program began as Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration with 15 faculty, 33 regular students and 47 special students. The case method was embraced as the primary media of instruction in 1924.

 USP

The most distinuishing feature of the Harvard MBA program is its Case Method in Action. During the program the students get to study about 500 cases and are required look at these cases from the role of a decision maker. Harvard alone produces 250 cases per year; 80% of cases sold across the world are written by Harvard faculty.

Whether it is a cuisine of your liking or if you looking for venturing into something new, Central Square is the place for you. Boston not only satisfies your culinary needs, but also attends to your appetite for fine arts, Music, Science or even solitude. Oe fo the odlet ccities of the country, the economic and cultural center of the region, Boston is home to many technology companies.

 Infrastructure

The Spangler Center, Baker Library housing half a million volumes and 7000 periodicals, Shad Hall and Class of 1959 Chapel - are all part of every HBS student life. Additionally the University Health Center attends to a students' heath needs.

On-campus housing provides 5 residence halls (one/two room singles). The dorms have high-speed Internet access, housekeeping services, dry cleaning and laundry facilities, and a common lounge. Off-campus housing options include university affiliated apartments like Soldiers Field Park (located on the HBS campus), One Western Avenue, and Peabody Terrace.
